SEATTLE — Seattle Children's, formerly Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center, is a children's hospital located in Washington state. Healthcare professionals at Seattle Children’s work together to deliver superior patient care and discover new treatments through pediatric research. In 2018, for the 26th year in a row, U.S. News & World Report ranked Seattle Children’s among the nation's best children's hospitals.
On October 8th, Jennifer Le, Mrs. Vietnam World 2018 and UyenVi Bui, Mrs. Vietnam World Ambassador, made a visit to the hospital to host a craft activity for the children. In addition to the puzzle-making station, the ladies of the Mrs. Vietnam World Organization brought gift bags to share, which included an inspirational coloring book, along with crayons and glow sticks.
Jennifer shares that she was a previous patient at the hospital, which made the visit that much more meaningful. As she wrote publicly:
“I'm a believer in miracles. After all, when my mom was pregnant with me, the doctors told her it was unlikely that I would survive — yet here I am. I was, however, born prematurely and was a patient at the Seattle Children's hospital for three months before being released home with my parents. I owe so much to the doctors and nurses who took care of me. I've always wanted to come back to the hospital to show my gratitude, so being able to volunteer today on behalf of the Mrs. Vietnam World Organization meant a lot. It was an incredibly special, memorable experience. Thank you to the Child Life Department, especially Lina, for allowing us set up a special activity for the kids."

She also goes on to share that while preparing for the visit, she and her peers brainstormed what type of gifts to bring that the children may like, however, they learned that spending time with the kids and simply playing with them meant more than anything money could buy.
